The Quick and the Dead: Life and Death in the Middle Ages
Today, death is largely restricted to nursing homes or hospitals, but it was

Earth to the fullest.

Witch Mania: The Witch-hunting Hysteria of the Renaissance
The fire of the witch-hunters blazed hungrily through western Europe

district of western Switzerland, and a French witch-hunter named Bouget
boasted of having sent more than 600 witches to the stake in Burgundy.

musicians in history: Ziryab, or 3Black Bird,2 who charmed the
ninth-century Spanish royal court at Cordoba with his songs.
