This is not to say that it was not practiced, as same-sex eros is one of the constants of human behavior. Rather, the medieval world saw homosexuality as a vice, on par with druckenness or gluttony. Indeed, homosexual behavior, thouh officially condemned, was quite common in the pre-modern world.
