The Fantastical Pageantry of Tudor England
by Anjuli MacDonald of Clanranald

From the pageant of the Chateau Vert of Henry VII's court in 1522 to Robert Dudley's tour de force at Kenilworth Castle in 1575, most Tudor aristocratic entertainment revolved around tableaux and allegories. by Richard Mackenzie

But above all, it has entertained millions of readers in the more than 50 years since its creation.

Rather, its origins must be unearthed from popular literature of the time.
