The History of Prince Valiant
Although newspaper comics date back to the turn of the century, it was not until the end of World War I that comic strips gained popular appeal. Such is with the classic comic strip Prince Valiant which was begun in the 1930s by Canadian-American Harold Foster and continued into the latter half of this century by the talented illustrator John Cullen Murphy.
