Great Blue
Carolyn Cruso and Robert Almblade
2318 2nd. Ave. #582, Seattle,WA 98121

Robert Almblade and Carolyn Cruso are long-time favorites of Renaissance faires across the country. While they do not boast of an authentic Renaissance repertoire, this album features contemporary music played on period instruments from around the globe, performed with the help of six guest musicians. However, the hammered dulcimer is well played by both performers and is the instrument that stands out the most in Cruso and Amblade's live performances.

Anyone who enjoys either ancient music or the hammered dulcimer will find this album great listening. But the energy of these songs really stands out by this musical duo in a live performance by Cruso and Amblade, so try not to miss them perform if they happen to be playing at a faire near you.

— John Sestak III
